Limerick Fine Gael Senator Maria Byrne has welcomed confirmation from Limerick City and County Council that road reconstruction works on the Main Street in Caherconlish will conclude by mid-August.
Senator Byrne said: “Road reconstruction works commenced on July 22nd and originally it was envisaged the work would be completed by the end of August, but now it is expected that the works will be completed by August 16th.
“I would like to congratulate Limerick City and County Council on the progress they have made with this project. Limerick City and County Council crews worked diligently from Monday to Friday and on Saturday’s to minimise the length of the works which has ultimately resulted in the works concluding early by two weeks”
“Residents, businesses and commuters in Caherconlish and the wider area will be pleased that the work is concluding early. To have the main street in Caherconlish operational by the time people are back to work and school is excellent news”
